The Martha and Kenneth Revoir Scholarship
The Martha and Kenneth Revoir Scholarship was established in 2014 by Kenneth Revoir in memory and in honor of his mother, Martha Revoir, a parishioner of Saint Maurice Church, now known as Saint Katharine Drexel Parish. In creating the scholarship trust, it was Mr. Revoir’s intention that students be able to pursue the education for which they are qualified and which they wish to pursue in order to become useful, productive citizens.
The Scholarship is primarily to provide financial assistance to eligible students who have been members of Saint Katharine Drexel Parish for at least the year prior to the student’s application. If there are no qualified applicants, the Trustees have the authority to award scholarships to students who are members of other Roman Catholic parishes in New Britain for at least one year prior to application.
Scholarships of at least $2,500 may be awarded to full time students who are enrolled at accredited colleges, universities, or community colleges or are pursuing a course of study which will prepare them for a trade or profession at an accredited educational facility which awards degrees or certificates and has a full time faculty. Scholarships may include assistance with tuition, fees, books, and living expenses. High school seniors who will be enrolled at an accredited educational facility by June for the fall semester are also eligible to apply.
Scholarship applications may be obtained at the Saint Katharine Drexel Parish Office (860) 224-2411, or on-line at www.stkdrexelct.org Application deadline is March 15, 2019.
